Hey guys make sure to checkout Jaclyn Roessel’s blog and vlog channel @GrownUpNavajo or www.grownupnavajo.com
She has a lot of great stuff and writing about her journey in life ☺
Sorry if I haven’t posted up anything yet, but I can’t wait to show you this new native artist from California. I promise you will love her stuff. She’s currently working on a project right now, but after next month I’ll post new pictures of what I had her commissioned to do! 🙂 In other news, Native Max Magazine is looking for a host to for their upcoming NativeMax TV. This will be a great opportunity for those who are interested in expanding their resume in media. There are a few requirements they are looking for. Check out their Instagram or Facebook. Also, visit Jeff Slime aka TheElectricKitchen ‘s solo exhibition in Phoenix, AZ.
In case you missed it! Sherman Alexie was on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah this passed MONDAY the 9th!!! How awesome is that?!?! Not long ago I got to meet him at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ and had 2 books signed from him. Also, BETHANY YELLOWTAIL gave a sneak peek into her next collection coming out on 6/1/16!!!!!
I got the chance to visit Albuquerque, New Mexico during the weekend. I enjoyed whatever time I had left at Gatherings and ended the night at the Rezilience show. I did not get to attend the Pink Party, but I heard some awesome things about it. Jared from OXDX Clothing was there. I got to meet the actress KDevery Jacobs from Rhymes for Young Ghouls (watch it on NETFLIX). Steven Paul Judd got to do a Q & A. Thosh Collins and Chelsea Luger from Well For Culture did a great job presenting their movement (They have some great workouts and visit their page- there are some delicious recipe meals). The actor Martin Sensmeier from the upcoming film Magnificent 7 was there as well!!! SO, many great artists bringing creativity to a memorable day and for a great cause. I enjoyed the show very much. Here’s a small clip from the REZILIENCE show. I did it for you 🙂
