Frank Waln is a Sicangu Lakota from Rosebud Sioux Tribe in South Dakota. Frank is native rapper that continues to strive for his people. He graduated from Columbia University in Chicago, IL and received his degree, but before that he was a rez kid making music and received the Native American Music Award. He is an activist and performs at universities and talk about the pipeline and the people’s struggles of living on the reservation as well. Shaun Marcus is Navajo from Window Rock, AZ. He’s a very talented photographer and an exceptional craftsman. He lives a rad life and goes on tour with well known bands. He lives by his own rules and never takes thing or people’s time for granted. He continues to perfect his technique and skills of the camera and progress the creativity of creating things with wood and metal. His work speaks for itself and if his straight edge music or style isn’t working for you – his creative passion of his work definitely will slap in you in a 180. What’s not to like about this dude? He’s a hard working native artist! 🙂
Bethany Yellowtail is a Crow/ Northern Cheyenne designer from Montana. She has found her calling in designing and the fashion industry have certainly notice her talent. She has worked with Nike and BCBG to name a few have seen the creative future of this young talented lady. An inspirational women who has a whole life ahead of her. She continues to represent Native Americans and to thousands of young women who aspire to become like her.
