@BeyondBuckskin reminds us of the ongoing battle of non-Native artists that continue to break the Indian Arts and Crafts Act and needs to be reported. Follow @BeyondBuckskin ! She’s a great role model and entrepreneur that has brought out many Native artists artwork onto the market. #buynative
So I had the pleasure to partake in an art workshop with Steven Paul Judd and attend the screenings on Saturday 16th at the Loft Cinema in Tucson, AZ. Also, got to be on his Instagram 🙂 and TAGGED ME! haha He is a very intricate and humbled artist; we spoke briefly of his art and told me to about how he came up with ‘The Warriors’ skateboard (which he will sell only 100- 50 at Gatherings of Nations and the other 50 online).

I have got the pleasure of hanging out with Jeff Slim from TheAllElectricKitchen studio in Phoenix, AZ. He showed me around his studio and told me of his inspirations behind some of the paintings. His perspective on cultural appropriation and interpretation of Navajo culture was amazing to listen too. I took a few pictures of his artwork and created a short clip. Enjoy.

Well for Culture is an indigenous Wellness movement that has been started by Thosh Collins and Chelsea Luger. They have created diets and workout plans for people. They also have meetups. I missed the last meetup, because I was healing from the fracture. Hope to get the chance to meet them up again! 🙂

Here’s some photos I took from the performance of Frank Walns who has been featured in MTV Rebels: Native American along with Naataanii Means and other talented artists. They did an amazing job!
It was great seeing Frank Waln again under circumstances less embarrassing.
Gyasi Ross is a member of the Blackfeet Nation. He primarily focuses on bringing awareness of the mistreatment of the American Indians and to correct the misconception of the Native Americans. He has been on ESPN to talk aobut the debated ‘Redskins’ mascot and has written articles and also a book. If you have not read How To Say I Love You in Indian it is quite a literary find and a must. You can also pre-order his album coming out on Itunes on May 12th. He has released a music video on YouTube as well. Click here to find out more!!!!!!!!!!
Make sure to visit Bethany Yellowtail she’s looking for models. Visit byellowtail.com for more details and requirements. I retrieved this from her instagram. Goodluck! ✌
